The world’s leading and largest Festival of contemporary character culture is back in Berlin, with a dense program of inspiring artist presentations, conference lectures, animation festival, workshops, installations, numerous character walk exhibitions, performances and of course, loads of character!
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, I think that the style of Pictoplasma probably rates about a 7.5 on how cartoon-like it is.
The colours are very vibrant or purposely muted.
The characters are quite simplistic but have large features such as eyes or mouths to show emotion or long/prominent limbs to aid them in whatever task they happen to be doing.
Its like Japanese pop art with a little bit of comic book thrown in.
